caloTrac Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the caloTrac app and its features. By accessing or using caloTrac, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Use of Service
- Personal Use: caloTrac is intended for personal, non-commercial use to help you track your meals and caloric intake.
- Free Tier and Advertising: The free version of caloTrac is supported by advertisements, including rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob. Users may earn additional credits or access features (such as AI-powered meal inference scans) by voluntarily viewing these ads.
- Prohibited Actions: You must not misuse the app by introducing viruses, malicious code, or engaging in automated or abusive usage (including artificially triggering ads).
- Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to caloTrac if you violate these terms or jeopardize the integrity or security of our systems.
2. Account Security
- Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities conducted under your account.
- Unauthorized Access: You agree to notify us immediately at admin@tracorder.com if you detect any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Advertising and Monetization
- Ad Services: We use third-party services, such as Google AdMob, to display ads. These may include personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device and consent settings.
- Rewarded Ads: Some features in the free tier allow users to watch ads in exchange for additional usage credits. Participation in rewarded ads is optional and clearly marked in the app.
- Data Collection for Ads: Ad providers may collect anonymized data (e.g., device type, engagement metrics) to improve ad delivery and performance. No personal identifiers (e.g., email, name) are shared with advertisers.
4. Intellectual Property
- Ownership: All content within caloTrac, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of caloTrac or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Use of Content: You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the content without our prior written consent.
5. Future Premium Features
- Premium Features: Future versions of caloTrac may offer a premium subscription that includes unlimited automated meal entries, detailed charting features, and access to additional tools and improvements.
- Subscription Payments: Subscription payments will be processed via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Details regarding pricing and available features will be displayed within the app when available.
- Subscription Management: You are responsible for managing your subscription preferences, including upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations, through the respective app store interface.
6. Data Collection and Cloud Services
- Data Storage: caloTrac securely stores your meal entries, including nutritional information (calories, fats, proteins, carbohydrates), on our backend servers.
- Third-Party AI Inference: When submitting meals via photo or text, data is securely processed using third-party AI services. No personally identifiable information is shared with those AI providers.
7. Limitation of Liability
- Service Reliability: While we strive to maintain secure and reliable service, we are not liable for any loss, data breach, or unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.
- No Warranty: caloTrac is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of nutritional estimates or AI-generated results.
8. Modification of Terms
- Updates to Terms: We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use of caloTrac after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
